UPCEA’s 24th Annual Marketing and Enrollment Management Seminar is the top event for leaders and practitioners responsible for professional, continuing, and online education marketing and enrollment management at colleges and universities around the world. The Seminar draws professionals from institutions of all sizes to showcase thought leadership in the field and to explore trends in adult student recruitment and retention. The Seminar offers high-level, strategically-focused presentations as well as sessions that spotlight the tactical components of marketing and enrollment management in today’s higher education landscape.
In today’s economic times, there is increased pressure to validate every marketing dollar that is spent. As a mid-sized private institution with limited resources, the need for a return on our investment is greater than ever.
Five years ago, I was fortunate enough to get assigned a dedicated marketing person for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies at La Salle University (and sometimes that’s a stretch for the smaller institutions!). Working as a team of one, I knew that the professional development opportunities available through UPCEA would help give my Marketing Director the support she needed to be successful. Attending the UPCEA MEMS conference has helped my Director remain current on marketing trends that can influence our enrollment and take us to the next level.
Though we will never have the same budgets as larger institutions, gaining a better understanding of how to be more effective with the funds we do have has proven invaluable for my department. I strongly recommend sending all members of your marketing team, whether your institution is large or small, to the UPCEA MEMS conference and challenging them to implement the strategies and tactics that they bring back.
