The 2016 UPCEA New England Region Conference, Make it EPIC, is about intentionally and strategically serving contemporary learners who compete in an ever-changing, global knowledge economy. Reaching this goal requires leadership.

Emerging Leaders: Building Influence and Relationships through Clear Conversations, the New England pre-conference workshop, will help you build and refine your communications skills, a critical component of high impact, effective leadership.

This workshop is for new and relatively new professional, continuing, and online education professionals who want to hone their leadership skills. You will learn and practice Appreciative Inquiry, a powerful method to improve your work relationships and ability to influence others. In small group activities and facilitated discussion, you will learn about leadership trends and resources, plan for personal skill development, and engage with peers from across New England.

You will ask

  • What relationships are most influential and most challenging in your work?
  • Do you and colleagues look for problems to solve or strengths to harness?

You will

  • Identify your key work relationships and those needed for continued success
  • Learn Appreciative Inquiry as a way to build relationships and influence positive change
  • Develop a personal plan to create and benefit from intentional, strategic relationships

Join us for this fun, interactive workshop. Learn Appreciative Inquiry to enhance your working relationships. Take this step - emerge as the leader you want to be!
