Presenter Resources for the DT&L 2022 Conference

Hello, DT&L Presenters.

Thank you for being one of the presenters for the 2022 Distance Teaching & Learning conference. Our goal is to create an engaging and interactive experience for our participants every year. The way you structure and conduct your sessions helps to keep your audience interacting.

This webpage contains links to self-paced content, including reference resources about the software and tools that we use to conduct the conference, as well as video resources to help you with the key elements of typical DT&L sessions.

Key things to know before you present:

  1. Arrive at your scheduled session 15 minutes early

    1. Use the Zoom link you receive in your calendar invite to join your session.

  2. You will receive your login information for the conference platform, Accelevents, a few days before the conference starts. This information will come to the same email address you registered for the conference with.

  3. Tips for a successful presentation:

    1. Have a glass of water.

    2. Turn off notifications.

    3. Use a headset for better audio quality.

    4. Set up a light source in front of you, rather than behind or above you.

    5. Be prepared to share hyperlinks via Zoom chat (participants are unable to click on your screen sharing).

    6. Use our DT&L Conference themed Zoom background image (optional)

Whether you are already a seasoned presenter or you’re just starting out, we are here to help! Email kspader@wisc.edu and we can schedule a call or video meeting to discuss your session and help you to customize for the DT&L audience.

We are glad to know you will be joining us virtually this year, and grateful that you will be part of the reason that keeps people coming back year after year.

Thank you,

Your DT&L Team
