West Region Emerging Leader Session 2017

Working Together to Incorporate the UPCEA Hallmarks of Excellence In Our Daily Practices

September 25, 2017
10am - 11:45am
Renaissance Seattle Hotel
Seattle, WA 98104

The UPCEA Hallmarks of Excellence in Professional and Continuing Education details the key competencies for the exceptional professional and continuing education leader. We’ll spend our time together focusing on Professionalism, the seventh hallmark, which must define and flow across all aspects of our work and is how we earn champions across our institutions and become the influencers we need to be in order to move our units forward.

The Hallmarks note Professionalism’s key performance indicators result in enhanced collaboration with the campus at large, expanded community-based partnerships and ties to external stakeholders, increased engagement with internal stakeholders, increased offerings of innovative programming and altruistic offerings to the underserved, mentorship of young members of the professional continuing education community, and much more.

Working together in small groups with leaders at multiple levels, participants in this session will each walk away with templates and projects to implement over the next year. Projects will be individualized to align with your unit’s needs vis-à-vis the professionalism that we all strive to incorporate on a daily basis.

We welcome everyone from all levels and expertise to join us, share ideas, learn with seasoned leaders and take your leadership skills to the next level.
