South Region | The Front Porch: A Place to Share, Solve, and Strengthen Together

September 10, 2026 | 1:00 - 4:00 PM ET

Some of the best ideas begin with a conversation.

Inspired by the tradition of the front porch as a place where neighbors gather, this South Region Salon invites members to come together in an open, welcoming environment to share experiences, tackle common challenges, and learn from one another.

Through engaging Spark Talks and facilitated discussion groups, participants will explore topics such as enrollment challenges, organizational change, strategic initiatives, partnership building, and communicating institutional impact.

Conversations will connect professionals across different institution types while focusing on practical problem-solving and peer learning. Whether you represent a rural campus, an urban institution, a system office, or a regional university, you'll leave with practical takeaways, new connections, and fresh perspectives to put into practice.

Join your UPCEA regional colleagues for an engaging and informal Salon experience designed to spark connection, conversation, and shared learning. These virtual, live sessions bring together professionals from across the region to explore timely topics in a relaxed, discussion-forward environment. Designed by the region, for the region, Salons are open to all.

The Salon features brief insights or “spark” perspectives to kick things off, followed by interactive peer conversations where participants can exchange ideas, challenges, and practical strategies. The emphasis is on learning from one another, not just from a single speaker.

Salons are intentionally live and not recorded to create a welcoming, candid space where participants feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and building meaningful connections with regional peers.

Whether you are looking to expand your network, gain fresh perspectives, or contribute your own insights, the UPCEA Regional Salon offers an approachable and valuable way to stay connected to your community.
