Purdue Online supports programs created by our faculty with the goal of providing world-class online education for all students. Join us to learn how we support faculty through a centralized unit aligned with our institutional partners, including the Center for Instructional Excellence and Libraries. We will also cover how our Course Production unit has exponentially increased capacity over the last five years.
Why Purdue Online?
Formed in Spring 2018, Purdue Online has been charged to scale support services for residential and online programs through intentional collaborations with institutional partners. One such effort includes offering IMPACT, a faculty development program that utilizes a motivational theory to create student-centered, autonomy-supportive learning environments. Since 2011, IMPACT has positively affected every college/school with nearly 9 out of 10 undergraduate students taking at least one IMPACT-transformed course. Additionally, in Summer 2020 we addressed the remote and HyFlex teaching challenges of the pandemic by pivoting this 16-week program award-winning program into a 2-week intensive, reaching 1250 instructors and their students.
