Summit for Online Leadership and Administration + Roundtable (SOLA+R)
and
Distance Teaching & Learning Conference (DT&L)

July 22-24, 2024

Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are thrilled to invite you to the vibrant city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where we will gather July 22-24, 2024 for the co-located 2024 UPCEA Summit for Online Leadership and Administration and the Distance Teaching & Learning conference (co-hosted by UPCEA and the University of Wisconsin-Madison). As co-chairs for this event, we are honored to lead a conference that brings together professionals and thought leaders to discuss, collaborate, and propel the future of online and distance education.

Building on the successes and learnings from the first-ever combined event in Madison in July 2023, in 2024 we will delve deeper into the crucial nexus of digital transformation and online leadership in higher education. The landscape of education is continuously evolving, and the 2024 conference will provide a platform to explore innovative strategies, share best practices, and envision the future.

We hope colleagues from across the online enterprise will join us for this comprehensive, transformative experience. At the heart of our discussions will be the rapid shifts and adaptations witnessed in digital transformation on campuses, encompassing teaching and learning as well as leadership and administration. Whether it's leveraging cutting-edge tools for teaching or reimagining administrative processes, our discussions will focus on how digital transformation is reshaping the educational experience.

The conference will emphasize the vital role of leadership in navigating these changes. Effective leadership is not just about embracing technology but also about inspiring and guiding our academic communities toward a future that prioritizes inclusivity, innovation, and student success.

In the spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing, we invite you to actively participate in panel discussions, workshops, keynote addresses, and networking events. Your insights and experiences will contribute to the collective understanding of digital transformation and leadership in academia, guiding us as we navigate the path forward. We are also excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the DT&L conference with special guests and a look back at the important role this conference and community have played in the growth of online education.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Minneapolis and to an enriching and invigorating conference that will undoubtedly shape the trajectory of online education and leadership in the coming years.

Please consider submitting a proposal when the call for proposals is announced in December.
