  “In Honor of Excellence Awards”

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

It is time to submit your nominations for the UPCEA Region West “In Honor of Excellence Awards.”

Below is the submission form for each category.  Details are contained in the form.

As we did last year, in an effort to simplify the process and reduce paper and postage, nominations will be submitted by email, or the materials may be posted to a website, with a link emailed to the Awards Chair.  Review the documents below for details.

The deadline for submission is: August 9, 2013

Outstanding Credit Program
Recognizes a program which is original in concept and/or approach in a degree-applicable or professional advancement format.


Outstanding Noncredit Program
Recognizes a program which is original in concept and/or approach in a non-credit format.  This category includes programs awarding C.E.U.’s.


Outstanding Administrative Process or Service
Recognizes an administrative process or service which serves a continuing education clientele in a unique or innovative way.


Professional Contributions to Continuing Education
An opportunity to recognize the exceptional contributions made by the staff or faculty (instructor) member for outstanding work in advancing the field of continuing education.  Following the Region awards ceremony, the UPCEA Awards West Committee Chair will forward the winner of this award for the UPCEA National Walton S. Bittner Service Citation for Outstanding Service Award.


Outstanding Non-Traditional Student Award
This award honors nontraditional student, who are either degree candidates or non-degree students at UPCEA member institutions, for achievement of excellence in pursuit of continuing education.  Following the Region awards ceremony, the UPCEA Awards West Committee Chair will forward the winner of this award for the UPCEA National Outstanding Continuing Education Student Award.


Excellence in Teaching Award

This award honors individuals who have provided outstanding teaching, course development, mentoring of students, and service to continuing education. This award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to credit or noncredit programs and who have provided inspirational teaching to continuing education students.  Following the Region awards ceremony, the UPCEA Awards West Committee Chair will forward the winner of this award for the UPCEA National Excellence in Teaching Award.
