Emerging Leaders

Mark your conference calendar! You don’t want to miss this opportunity; attend the emerging leaders session on Thursday, October 6th from 1:00-2:00 p.m., in Capitol A. This session encompasses research from emerging leaders within the Mid-Atlantic Region focusing around the topic of student debt. Explore student debt’s trends, media portrayal, and institutional response for credit and non-credit. A discussion of recommendations will be provided to take back to your institution!

This year’s UPCEA Mid-Atlantic emerging leader session brings together a well-recognized group of up and coming leaders who hold distinguished positions in their fields. Each will be presenting research on the topic of student debt—a trend that never ends! Participants will be provided key takeaways that will be useful to their institution.

  • Provide key takeaways for making college more affordable
  • Understand myths of media’s portrayal of student debt

The Emerging Leaders program provides you with the opportunity to collaboratively explore the theory and practice of continuing and online education leadership with peers from across the Mid-Atlantic region. It is designed to prepare the next generation of the region’s leaders to be “on the horizon”.
