Leadership and Strategy Track

Universities are increasingly relying on professional, continuing, and online units to spearhead initiatives that will connect economic opportunities an contemporary learners. Administrative focus is concentrated on leaders of this unit and their ability to strategically fuel the necessary change to ensure prosperity.  To that end, it is imperative that professional, continuing, and online leaders are effective and strategic, and that their successors are provided skills needed for future success. The Leadership and Strategy track will focus on effective leadership/strategy in a variety of situations and on fostering opportunities to develop leadership experiences, knowledge, and skills. Proposals for this track should include replicable examples of effective leadership and opportunities for active, engaged learning.

Presentations involving multiple organizations and international partners, as well as content which may be scaled or optimized by attendees from a wide range of institutions and credit-bearing scenarios (credit, noncredit, alternative credential, etc.) are strongly encouraged.

Proposals for this track may include (but are not limited to) the following topics:

  • Governance, structure, and organizational change, perhaps addressing policy issues
  • Succession planning
